Setting up a school
There is no sign-up form for schools. This part starts with a conversation.
Why there's no form here
A family account is one caregiver deciding for their own child. A school account is different in kind: it holds a roll of named children, their conversations with Aria and their assessment results, and it makes a board of trustees accountable for all of it.
None of what has to be settled before a school starts is something a form can establish or a server can verify:
- who at the school is accountable, and what your board has agreed to;
- what the children's families have been told, and what they consented to;
- which classes and year levels are actually in scope;
- what happens to the data if you stop, and what we can and cannot see;
- what is honestly still unresolved at our end — we would rather tell you that ourselves than have you find it later.
So we set school accounts up by hand, after talking. It is slower on purpose.
If someone already using Synapse suggested you get in touch — a teacher, another school, a parent — that is genuinely good to hear, and worth saying in your email. It doesn't come with a shortcut, a code or a fast track, and the conversation is the same one. There isn't a referral scheme to be let into.
Tell us your school, your role, the year levels you have in mind, and what prompted you to look at this. We'll reply with the real state of things and, if it makes sense, arrange a time to talk.
